Red, Bike, & Green-CincinnatiAs an urbanist and wellness enthusiast, it was only a matter of time that I became a "bike person." I wanted to get more Black people on bikes and also wanted to eliminate stigma attached to riding bikes in communities of color. After connecting with the Atlanta chapter and hosting an innaugural ride in October 2017, RBG-Cincinnati was born.
"I Hate Urbanists"I Hate Urbanists is a video recorded podcast experiment hosted be my left hand man and fellow People's Liberty grantee, Bradley Cooper. We are both self identified urbanists who care about equity, like to break down planning and design jargon, and educate the people on the happenings in the built environment. We also like to philosophize and go down the rabbit hole.

Who "They" IsIn Spring of 2016 I was awarded a $10,000 project grant funded by People's Liberty. Inspired by my work in the West End, the goal of this project was to humanize and demystify "THEY" as a means to empower youth to take on more active roles in their neighborhoods.

One of the assignments was a 3-week long client project and my team was assigned to work with the City of Oakland on the 2nd phase of their Urban Resilience strategy. Our task was to "bring out voices" of Oakland Residents

West End Youth SummitIn December of 2015, I had the pleasure of planning and organizing the inaugural West End Youth Summit. I was doing community engagement work in the neighborhood to assist with their community visioning process. Along the way, I noticed that we needed more youth voices and more importantly needed a way to creatively engage with youth in order to get feedback that's not the usual survey, focus group, or community conversation
My work with youth in the West End is what inspired my latest project, Who "They Is. Read more here. Additional resources:
